Jason Mitchell is a Canadian visual artist who lives and works in Montréal, QC. He received his BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University (2018) and his DEC in Fine Arts from Dawson College (2012). Working in painting, drawing, and ceramics, Mitchell’s work investigates the humdrum of domestic life where concerns pertaining to cultural identity, memory, and the human condition are questioned.

He recently participated as artist in residence at the Westmount Visual Art Center (2023) and exhibited work at the McClure Gallery (2023) and Le Livart (2022). Publishings of his work are included in Headlight Anthology, Issue 23 (2022) and Yolk Literary Journal, Issue 2.2 (2021). Mitchell’s work is featured in Concordia University’s collection as well as in private collections within Canada and the USA.
